‘Social projects’ leading us to hell

To the editor:

Re: "Good citizens an endangered species in 21st century," May 30.

Columnist Patricia Coppard talks about "participating in a social project." Well, the Canadian Auto Workers unionized the project and is currently on strike.

Employees in our other "social projects" are among the highest paid in the world, yet constantly bitch and complain and hold public (society) to ransom. Our taxes have never been higher. We have to work until August before we get to keep what we earn; the rest goes to "social projects." Nonetheless, even though our governments have the hugest budgets and deficits in history, everything is going to hell! So to hell with you, Coppard; I want my "shiny bauble of tax cuts."
