NPA serves up old-time fare
You could find more cleavage at the B.C. Federation of Labour Convention, and Asian faces were relegated to a few tables off in a corner. Most of the crowd who filled the ballroom of the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel to chow down on mushroom soup and steak, all for the greater glory of the NPA, were aging white men in suits.

Message to mayor-don't dump on Challenger map
The article regarding our beloved Challenger map brought back memories of a few years ago when word was released that the map was going to be moved from Hastings Park ("Mayor holding up Challenger map project," Nov. 28).

Familiar whine from East Siders sets West Side man to wondering
I am sick and tired of East Siders using terms like "Kerrisdale-style NIMBYism" to describe Shane Simpson ("Simpson can't fill MacPhail's shoes," Letters, Nov. 24).

Sidewalk displays add to city life
I like to see the sandwich boards and the produce displayed out front of the veggie markets and the bikes outside those shops. This makes for an appealing street, and one where I want to shop.
