NAOMI's end will junk lives
Dianne Tobin has been a heroin addict for 30 years and on Sunday she got to tell her story at the 17th annual International Conference on the Reduction of Drug Related Harm.

Huge plaza for public protest would be mecca for young and restless
Twenty years is a long time to maintain a personal boycott and I try to keep my continuing distaste for Expo 86 to myself. But if I hear one more time about how it put Vancouver on the map, I'm going to scream. And what I'm going to scream is, "Show me one friggin' map in the world that didn't have Vancouver on it!"

MLA's understanding of research spotty
The Vancouver-supervised injection site, known as Insite, is being evaluated by scientists from the B.C. Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. All findings from the evaluation have been subjected to external peer-review and publication in the medical literature before sharing them with the public.

Alex and Jim mad about Allen
Alas, as I expected, more clamorous, frothy-mouthed invective from the likes of Mr. Jim Satterthwaite, who through the overly generous propriety of the Courier's editor has in the past co-opted this letters page as a bully pulpit to defend the oft-demanding and unendingly militant BCTF.

Sow bug label a howler
Sandra Thomas's article on our Jan 1, 2006 city-wide pesticide and fungicide ban will serve well in informing gardeners what they cannot do in the garden. Magnificent eagles much appreciated
That was an informative article with a nice picture on the cover.

Reader also aggrieved about 'Garr's bias'
Hooray for Alex Tsakumis!
