New Orleans, Louisiana-Barges are huge, unglamorous hulks, you say. Not the
place you'd choose to spend your vacation. But Eddie Conrad Jr. is changing all
that. The New Orleans entrepreneur took two workhorse barges and spent $20
million transforming them into one floating resort, the Riverboat Explorer.
